Tide Times shows predicted tidal heights alongside essential local weather—so you can plan beach walks, boating, fishing, or photography with confidence.

1 Pick a location (US locations work without API key).

2 View tides and weather at a glance.

3 For global locations, add your WorldTides API key in Settings.

4 Tap charts for details or adjust units in Settings.

⚠️ Important: For worldwide tide predictions, a WorldTides API key is required. US locations work without one using NOAA data. Get 100 free credits at worldtides.info.

🗺️ Finding Locations

Search: Type a city, beach, or coastal area name.
Current Location: Tap the location button for nearby tides.
Favorites: Save frequently-used spots for quick access.
Recent: Previously searched locations appear automatically.

📊 Reading the Charts

Tide Heights: Blue line shows predicted water levels over time.
High/Low Times: Marked clearly with exact times and heights.
Current Conditions: Highlighted indicator shows "now" on timeline.
Range: Vertical axis adapts to local tidal range for clarity.

🌤️ Weather Information

Current Conditions: Temperature, humidity, pressure, visibility.
Hourly Forecast: Scroll through upcoming weather changes.
Wind & Waves: Speed, direction, wave height, and period.
Marine Conditions: Coastal and offshore weather data when available.

⚙️ Settings & Preferences

Units: Switch between metric and imperial measurements.
Time Format: 12-hour or 24-hour display options.
Chart Style: Adjust colors and appearance preferences.
WorldTides API Key: Required for global tide predictions (US works without key).
Notifications: Set alerts for tide changes (if enabled).

For worldwide tide predictions, you'll need a WorldTides API key. US locations work without one using NOAA data.

2 Get 100 free credits (50 predictions) with your registration

3 Open Tide Times → About → Settings → Enter your API key

4 Enjoy worldwide tide predictions with your free credits

📱 Tips & Tricks

Swipe Charts: Navigate between different time periods.
Pinch to Zoom: Get detailed views of specific time ranges.
Long Press: Access additional options and details.
Share: Export tide information to other apps or messages.

🔄 Offline and Caching

Recent tide and weather data is cached locally and shown instantly.
When connectivity returns, the app refreshes data in place.
You may see a small note when cached data is displayed.

❓ Troubleshooting

No search results: try a nearby city or coastline name.
Waves empty: may be using nearest coastal station; try a coastal location.
Connectivity: cached data shows first; refresh when online.
"Failed to load predictions" for global locations: You need a WorldTides API key. Get 100 free credits at worldtides.info and enter it in App → About → Settings.
API key not working: Check that you've entered it correctly in Settings. The key should be a long string of letters and numbers.
Out of credits: WorldTides offers 10,000 credits for $10. Weather data always works without any paid API key.
